New warning for people in LLR to get flu jab
Posted on January 03, 2017
A new warning is going out to thousands of people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) putting their lives at risk by failing to take advantage of their free flu vaccination.
Last year’s figures across LLR show 30% of people eligible for the free vaccination did not take it up.
Those eligible for the free flu jab include over 65s, those with a long term health condition, children over the age of six months with a long-term health condition, children aged two, three and four plus children in school years one, two and three, and pregnant women.
Those who are a registered carer for a loved one are also eligible for the jab.
Frontline Alliance staff have been getting their vaccinations over the last couple of months because of the nature of their roles coming into close contact with vulnerable people.
