In the news: draft STP

Posted on December 20, 2016

Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland’s draft Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) was published in November. The draft plan outlines proposals for local health and social care services over the next five years.

The document sets out the ambitions of all local NHS partners to improve health services in light of growing demands, an ageing population and an increasingly challenging financial climate.

Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland has a projected funding gap of £399m over the next five years.

The draft plan sets out how services can be changed to improve care and patient experience while addressing the problem of demand for services outpacing available resources.

You can access more detailed information on the proposals on the Better Care Together Website. Pages 36 to 40 of the draft plan provide more detail about the impact of the proposals on community hospitals.

If you would like to comment on the proposals you can leave feedback on the Better Care Together website.
