The LLR Alliance’s Patient and Public Partnership Group (PPPG) was established to drive change and improvement in services by helping the LLR Alliance to understand what matters most to people, how they feel about their experiences as an LLR Alliance patient, and how they think things could be improved.
The PPPG has a vital role in the strategic direction and decision making of the LLR Alliance and has a formal seat at the LLR Alliance Leadership Board and our Clinical Reference Group.
The PPPG also supports the LLR Alliance to monitor and evaluate the quality of patient experience, patient dignity and potential improvements in patient pathways. The recommendations the PPPG have made so far have included enhanced refreshments and better signage at a number of hospital sites. LLR Alliance is acting on the PPG’s recommendations.
There are some real challenges ahead and some interesting and exciting work for the PPPG to do to support the further development of the LLR Alliance patient engagement programme and further improvements in patient care and patient experience.
The PPPG benefits from a good mix of individuals in the group from diverse backgrounds across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Members of the public who would like to get involved to help support the PPPG’s drive to improve the LLR Alliance patient experience are welcome.
